Baroque Wonders, Bach, Wooden Decorations and White Gold

December’s tour includes so much more than the Strietzelmarkt! Here are some of the side trips and extras this trip offers…

  • View the beautiful baroque skyline and sites of Dresden from various angles both by day and at night, along with several of Dresden’s dozen holiday markets.

  • Attend typical holiday concerts and events that normal tours don’t consider. Examples are Bach’s Christmas Oratorio, organ concerts, world famous boys choirs, and more

  • Visit to the “Christmas village” of Seiffen in the Ore Mountains, where many of the wooden Christmas decorations and toys are made and the octagonal church featured in numerous motives

  • Experience the small city of Meissen, where you’ll visit Europe’s oldest porcelain manufacturer. Beautiful pieces of all sizes are designed here and you’ll get to see demonstrations of each step of the process. You’ll also see the Albrechtsburg, the medieval castle where porcelain was made for hundreds of years to keep the secret of how to produce this “white gold”

  • Day trip to Leipzig to experience Saxony’s other leading city, where you’ll experience markets, perhaps take in a concert of the world famous Thomaner boys choir in the church where Bach was music director in the 18th century or the Gewandhaus Orchestra.

Experience this unique area of Germany with someone who can maximize your experience and take care of all the details while you immerse yourself in BEING there.

Only a few spaces remain for the 2024 tour, which is December 4 – 15, 2024. Click here for a detailed itinerary. Contact me today for more information or questions!
